That's a link to the Stop The Death Penalty website.

Have a read guys; it could be worth our while. Whilst it doesn't happen in the UK, it does in places like the USA, Saudi Arabia, Korea, many parts of Africa etc.

The death penalty is a bit of a contentious issue amongst some people I realise; but have a read of the moral arguments and see what you think.

this was mentioned last year when we were campaigning for control arms. It kinda split the group a little if i remember rightly, I'm personally not entirely sure where i stand on it but I would be willing to support it if the group wanted to do something on it.

Yes it did split the group but i think the current group would be more willing to support the campaign than last years lot. How do you propose we support it Paul?

It's hard to say I guess, because the problem doesn't exist here in the UK. A general awareness-raising drive would be good, such as poster campaigns, lobbying governments etc.

However, I guess the issue is pretty controversial. Maybe it's not a good idea to do this at the start of the academic year in case we alienate some people (because there is still quite a large number of people who support it). We can always leave it in mind though as a secondary campaign towards the end of the year.

Perhaps we can get the society's ideas on Thursday. If people choose not to support it, that's cool because we have quite enough to be getting on with at the moment.

Well, I think all of these people should be handed over to the animal testing labs and have some use made out of them!! That'll teach them not to be naughty! x
